A most evocative photo, Edwin. Now I'd like to help these two. I hope you can do it for me.

Before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now, I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it. Edward Scissorhands*
Hi!.. thanks for the fav... very much appreciated!
Hi Gerald... i appreciate the offer to help ... you know it took a while before i decided to submit this photo and it also took a while before i finally took the shot... i'm glad i did ...

...it's not my style to show hardship and misery as i always see the glass of water as half -filled and not half-empty... but this picture begged to be taken.. and again i'm glad i did... people who have seen this photo have offered help for these women and when i get back i'll offer them something on your behalf...
Thanks, Edwin. My heart goes out to such people. I have three little girls in different countries (two in So. America and one in Africa) I help to support through an organization called Compassion International. We just need so much more of this kind of effort. Thanks for your photo to remind us of this.
What a great shame that nobody seemed to care. Your photograph is a sensitive portrayal and greatly enhanced by the sepia tones.

I like how you have made them appear so small in the archway.
Unfortunately it's a similar story the world over
